They Used Dark Forces.
Cathedral have released their latest (and last, apparently) video, Tower of Silence.
It's a fitting epitaph for a group that carried the flame of traditional doom for a long time through some very dark ages.
Part music video, part Hammer/Ossorio gothic horror, the lads here at Thee Claw will be very sad to see Cathedral go.
But don't just take our word for it.
Have a look, and worship the riff.

Seagraves - WRONG
Further to our earlier post with a review of the new Seagraves CD Weight of the World, Jez Walshaw kindly got in touch to remind us you can all check out the official video for the track WRONG online.
And where can you see this visual feast? well, look no further than after these words!

LEGIONS OF THE DEEP!
For us, its all about the True Wave of British Heavy Metal, and so it should be for you too.
Awesome backing vocals from Leo of Forsaken on this.
Simon has one of the sickest voices in Metal right now, and the band...oh my word the band.

Vibrating Vessels
It's only seven seconds long, but it's one of my favourite videos ever and I love reposting it.
Filmed back in 2009 at a sunnO))) ritual at Corsica studios in London, it's beer bottles riding a sonic wave to get off the stage.

NAPALM DEATH @ DONINGTON 2007 - Video Clip
Merry Christmas gang. Here's a clip from the 2007 Donington metal festival, shot during the NAPALM DEATH set. Only thing is, there was no sound on the camera that we had with us that day (ah, 2007). So we've had to add some audio to this video, otherwise it would be in silence!
If I recall correctly the song that they were *really* playing was NAZI PUNKS FUCK OFF.
Anyway, enjoy! :)

Church Of Misery @ Roadburn, 25th April 2009
Take a moment out of your busy schedule to check this clip out. It'll be worth your while, let me tell you. I've got a video clip here of "I, Motherfucker" a little bit later on during this set, when Negi jumped head-first into the crowd and then somehow kept singing in time with the song. Can you believe this is his 1st gig back after years and years in the wilderness? It's like he never went away. His vocals remind me of Seth Putnam's in Anal Cunt, haha.
Church Of Misery took a gamble on bringing Negi back into the fold. Looks like they've hit thee jackpot.
I cannot wait for the chance to catch back up with these guys when they descend on Manchester on May 14th. It's gonna be killer.

Satyricon, Leeds (November 25th 2008)
Somehow I have totally forgot to add this video on here already.
Check out this clip of Satyricon, taken at the gig that I attended in Leeds. The gig happened about 6 weeks ago, so I am slightly late with this, haha. In case you were wondering, I shot this video using a D90 camera (many thanks to the kind people at Rios nightclub and also Satyricon's tour manager for arranging that). The original clip looks amazing, it's a shame that uploading it to Youtube has dramatically degraded the image quality. Ah well.
Bonus points to the 1st hetpenger who comments to say the name of the song they're playing.

Even More Donington Videos
Here's a short video of JUDAS PRIEST's set at Donington last Friday (13th June 2008). I chose this particular clip for you to see for yourself just how many people were crowded behind us while Priest were up there on the main stage. (ANSWER: Lots!)
I've got a few vids during MOTÖRHEAD's set, but it's gonna be pointless putting them online because they're a blur. I couldn't keep the camera still because the huge crowd all around me was going fucking mental apeshit to Killed By Death and Ace Of Spades.
Oh okay then... here's an interesting clip from during a break in The Head's set:
COMPETITION: I'm handing out 100 Claw bonus points to the 1st person who is metal enough to name both songs being played in these 2 video clips!

Mayhem - Birmingham Gig - Video
I didn't realise we had footage of the recent Mayhem clip taken at the Birmingham leg of their European tour on February 26th. The video is only about 15 seconds long but it shows the very end of the show, when Atilla Csihar pulled his "prop" table to the floor and all of the lights went out, ending the show. Hell, he even throws a claw too for good measure.
The sound is terrible on this clip, but what can you do? I'm happy just to find this clip - I honestly didn't even know that we had it!
